Chicago, IL - 18 de Mayo, 2016.-A continuación del anuncio de la semana pasada de que se vuelven a reunir los Misfits Originales, Riot Fest ha revelado la primera ola de artistas de 2016 para Riot Fest & Rodeo (Sept. 2-4, Denver, CO) y Riot Fest & Carnival (Sept, 16-18, Chicago, IL).
Conocidos por la diversidad de los artistas contratados, Riot Fest ha seguido con su tradición de ubicarse a la izquierda del dial y programar ambos festivales de una manera que desafía la homogeneidad que se ve en muchos festivales. Además de la programación musical, el festival a menudo cuenta con atracciones originales, y extravagantes. A lo largo de los años en Riot Fest se han visto desde Lucha Libre, espectáculos de fenómenos humanos de ferias (freak shows), un escultor que hace esculturas en mantequilla y una pelea de bolas de nieve, como así también un parque de atracciones completo con juegos y entretenimientos.

Aparte de varias reuniones, incluyendo a los Misfits Originales (Chicago y Denver), Thursday (Chicago y Denver), Set Your Goals (Chicago y Denver), Wolf Parade (Denver), The Anniversary (Chicago) y una presentación poco común de Girls Against Boys (Chicago), varias bandas y artistas estarán presentando sus álbumes clásicos durante Riot Fest 2016.
